Thanks, and quotes!
by Kath (out-of-game)on Sun Apr 20 18:23:54 2008
Thanks to all the staff and NPCs for some great stuff. (Module with actual working glowing waterfall? Serious awesome.) Wish I could have stayed for the whole event!
A couple of quotes:
The whole discussion about how to create an incorporeal hamburger was hilarious. "We could pour an eidolon potion on the hamburger!" "Or develop an incorporeal cow..."
And of course, the gravely-spoken, all-important warning: "Mind the meatballs."
Anyone else?

No man, you drink the water- How about we rock, paper scissors for it?
That, sir, was a gentelmans wagger, now You HAVE to do it.
It's just that I don't know about drinking purple glowing water. (about to drink water) *clairify, theres laundry soap in that water*
forget this guys, I'm outta here- subdue
Boots, ignoring the plank walks directly through the pool and is sent to logistics. Syrus yells forward, getting no responce, turns to Rawlin and says "I'll go if you go." Rawlin agrees, and Syrus takes the plunge. Feet soaked, Syrus heads to logistics. Rawlin turns and says "Screw this, I'm gonna go drink at the dark tavern"

First Player to another player: You ran across the stream? Other Player: Yes First Player: I would never do that! Elmer: Your name is now Water Chicken. I think that makes you a Coot.

Heymesh is lying on the floor in the dark tavern pretty much spread eagle. Then it occurs to me he's not wearing pants in game... I cringe and hold my hat to block the offensive view, "GAH! Heymesh, do you think you could roll over?"

Captain: I'm a Captain. Elmer: Where's your boat? Captain: Well I kinda don't have one right now . . . Elmer: You're not much of a captain . . . Captain: Yes, I'm more of a tree-huuger right now. Elmer: Your name is Tree-hugger

My personal favorite came from Rawlin:
Rawlin: I'm actually a mercenary for hire Julian: That's kind of a redundant statement you know. Orrin: Well, not quite, there is also mercenary under contract I believe.
Rawlin: Yea, so there you stupid alchemist. Oh wait, that was redundant wasn't it.

Also...
Rotus singing 'In the Jungle' (I think...I can't remember) as Mobius' Rescue Squad showed up and the ritual commenced almost had my Hobgoblin laughing as he was chanting. :-)

not a quote but a moment:
Being a scavenger and having a game of light spell hockey in the middle of the road in front of the graveyard.
Also actually conning 2 till from the Crossroads tavern.

Elmer: "Do you know the trees in your neighborhood?" Bud: "...Sure." Elmer: "In your neighborhood?" Me, in my head: "In your neighborhooood~!"

*folk in the tavern talking about the fact that heymesh is having a litter*
Sergei: "wait. fey babies? you mean like 'feybies'?"
...and hilarity ensued. including a mental image of heymesh nursing a litter of feybies from multiple teats. ew.

Tiff as Death on Saturday night, as Sergei comes out and I'm standing at the door for the second time in 5 minutes: I don't even get *through* the door before "YOU AGAIN!?!?"

I heard that while I was lying on the ground over by the pole barn!
Sounds like Tiff had quite a night over there in death.. :)

I'll add to the death quotes with "What the HELL IS THIS? DO YOU THINK I'M A GYPSY?" - her response to me panicking (being new and not knowing the death system) to her question of "Do you have anything for me?" - ...so I handed her a monster tooth.
Thanks, and quotes!

Ah, yes. You've managed to add something new to my "Things to do, and not do, if you have to see Death" speech.

There really is nothing like the panic of waiting to draw runes for your life combined with someone nearly spilling spaghetti on your feet...
