Warning policy

At this coming event, Legends will be instituting a 'warning policy' regarding safe fighting and cheating.

We are creating files for all of our staff and players, and this warning will be placed in your file.

If we receive a what we consider a valid complaint about the safe fighting habits of a particular cast member or player we will be issuing that player a warning.

The first warning is just that, a warning.

The second warning will result in you not being able to fight for the remainder of the event.

The third warning will result in you being banned from fighting completely.

Cheating will be taken on a case by case basis. You will get a warning at first (unless it's severe and blatant).

If you are caught cheating you may be banned from the game for a few events, or you may even be banned for life.

Perhaps something that should have been enforced some time ago.

I hope that the owners/staff will use their judgement wisely when it comes to this, especially since more than one of you have been victims of cheating rumors and other such complaints yourselves. I have seen many complaints issued on some of our best fighters (Ben, Tom, Jamie, etc) because players were upset that they got hit and/or died. People have to understand that they will be hit and die, and not take it out on those that might be better fighters than themselves. Just for some perspective, please understand that this is coming from a whiny little girl who is a terrible fighter and gets hit a lot.

I'd like to add onto this a little...

I have to agree with both posts:

Its a good idea that should have been implemented long ago. It will also require good judgement.

While its refreshing to see important rules enforced with something more than a slap on the wrist or ignoring the problem altogether, there are alot of things to consider.

Lexi makes a good point...Not that I'm saying the owners/staff are cheaters, but to be honest, I think EVERYONE has broken a rule/cheated at some point and Legends will need to keep that in mind. That's not to say it was malicious cheating, but sometimes we just screw up. ESPECIALLY in the heat of battle.

With that said, I'm sure the owners seek to implement this policy based on INTENT first and foremost. Otherwise if they were to crack down on every 'whoops, i forgot' or poorly placed shot, Legends would have no players at all within a season. :)

On the other hand, if you ARE an unsafe fighter, even if you don't intend to be, you're still a danger, and need to be retrained...
