Plans for the Future? Not while we are at each other's throats..

This is stupid... the whole arguing amongst ourselves is getting us absolutely nowhere, while hurt and angry feelings abound. Let's take this one step at a time, eh?

1. We need to find out where we stand in the eyes of the Galanese government. If they are still there, then fine, all this debate is useless. If we cannot determine the status of the Galanese, we set up a temporary government, and if they come and get angry, we simply explain that we needed some law and order while they were away, and please do not crush our poor little town.

2. It seems we've all agreed that, if a temporary government is to be put in place, a vote is in order regard who leads the town. I propose this: a leader, say mayor, who deals with the day to day issues of the town. Also, a council of 5 who counterbalance the mayor, and also act as an impartial group to judge any wrongdoings. Details to be hashed out later, but I think a balance/counterbalance of the two will outweigh any possibility of one individual possibly bringing the town under his/her unwelcome thumb.
