12th Day, Cycle of Earth, 1606
- What little contact comes from Galen speaks of vicious infighting among the Great Houses.
- The new Town Council is just as bribable as the Galenese ever were -- and the prices are lower, too!
- Farmers and peasants about the settlement are reporting sightings of `moving rocks'.
- The woods lately are filled with strange, dangerous creatures -- even stranger than usual.
- Loud noises, resembling a bulls bellowing, have been heard in the woods recently.
- A terrible plague has sprung up in Tor Lanencrest and Tor Aquillon, devastating
crops, livestock, and people.
- There is an army massing a short distance away from New Galen, but nobody seems to know whose army it is.
- The Alchemists, because they spend so much time in the woods, are in league with the darker powers that inhabit those woods.
- The Alhadim embargo of New Galen, has caused some Tor Aquillonian vineyards to begin having financial trouble. Word is, Tor Aquillion will declare war on Alhadim soon if the situation is not resolved.
- House Erin has `security squads' moving quietly all throughout Galen City.
- The Brigands that attacked New Galen last moon were hired by the Alhadim.
- A new Arch Mage is being sent to the Frontier.
- House Galen is said to be in severe trouble, without any obvious `Head'.
- The Alhadim have managed to shut down ALL gates in or out of New Galen, including the gate to Death's Realm! They want to kill all the settlers there, so that their eidolons will have to enter through the next nearest Gate to Death's realm, which is over 500 miles away. It will take the Eidolons weeks to get there, and by then the Alhadim will have taken complete control of the emptied New Galen.
- A greater Vampire summoned the Fury which attacked the Dark tavern last moon.
- House Jonas has closed all access to or from the Isle of Talima.
- The Island of the Kia, has resurfaced.
- The King of the Werewolves was seen in the woods around New Galen last moon, talking to Gabriel.
- House James is publicly calling for open discussions, but reports say that the other Houses think that it's a trap set up by James and an accomplice .
- The number of spies in New Galen has decreased dramatically. Either they are all in distant lands gathering information, or they know something which causes them to find work far away from New Galen.
- The Dark Elves have grown weary of their human servants, and decided that it is time for a change.
- House Barlow has sent troops to the Aknorian Mountain. No one knows why.
- A necromancer's lair was found deep in the woods around New Galen, but why would a necromancer have a giant mushroom with him?
- Loch Maben has been offended by the many persons swaggering around the settlement bragging about the size of their stones. If New Galen survives the Alhadim attack, Loch Maben will challenge them to worse than war
